We as school going kids have no goals in hand. Yet we keep saying “want to become a doctor”, and some of us would say, engineers, lawyers and so on. But there would be lot of options for some interesting activities alongside the fear of not achieving good scores in the school marksheets. Some mistakes created and we were able to get the solution by taking help from our parents. As we grow up, our goals start speaking where we would be approching to become what?

Some of us have lot of passion to become doctors and engineers. Meanwhile, as we look at our older school fellows, a couple of years older than us and so the journey started to learn from them and be somebody in this world. However, as youth, we struggled in our college affairs and to manage our pocket-money, but some small mistakes created also during this period has been likely troubling us more in our plus 30s. Let’s come back later to what happens when we turned over 35.

However, the mistakes created by us during our youth would be to not spend more time in our studies and also write exams without fully prepared. The otherside is that our parents start scolding us. Our academic scores do not make us and our parents happy. Yet the journey to look for jobs would surely to start for us in about couple of years.

Few other mistakes created again by us

Some of our friends fly abroad to study their masters in their choicest subjects and some of us look for jobs. Nervous and shy, we attended our first job interview. To be honest, we failed in our first job interview in a quick-time. We did some diplomas in our choicest subjects. That was to get job inteview calls by adding diploma certifications to carry extra weight in our CVs.

Some other mistakes created by us during our next interviews and more of the interviews that come our way one by one as our CVs become stronger. But we keep on failing in the interviews. We just got frustrated and we don’t want to try so hard and so we flew abroad.

All of us landed in the gulf country, Saudi Arabia by leaving our beloved home country. Few good people were in our way forward and they guided us and we got hired in one company all together.

The work journey started as we joined the money-making club. At times we felt home-sick but we were focusing to move on. We tried our best to maintain our jobs. Our best days abroad were always the first weeks of every month as we get that hard-earned pays. Soon, we starte missing our parents and siblings as we were outside of our home country and also the vacation of 30 good days were to start in few days. We booked flight tickets and a sigh of relief. The joy of visiting home was on the way too.

No Looking Back

The holiday vacation period looked so good and so small and that we kept enjoying and one fine day. That fine day unfortunately turned to be our turning point of failures. We planned that day as we earned a lot during the two years abroad. All we thought was fine. We decided to not go back abroad and we stayed and our visas got expired. However, we started looking for local jobs as we had finished our earned money, but our parents disliked our moves.

Soon, the days passed by so quick that we did not realize that it has been two years since we returned from abroad. Our jobs were good and the pay also too good. But unfortunately again because of the gap of two years, a holiday vacation has been extended too much. We’re not getting hired anywhere.

So what next? Parents not willing to invest as we tried our best to start a business. But then somehow we convinced our parents and we started a business.

Too much pain. The business started to bear losses after losses each month. We tried yet another business and had to bear losses. Too much to bear we had to shutdown our business. We have nothing more than sitting idle having tea together everyday. This is how we realized that we indeed have created mistakes, and this time big mistakes.

We’re still not gotten married and now we’re over the age of 35 and nothing to do. The job interview failure to job interview success abroad did not teach us anything. We’re nowhere now. We made mistakes. The mistakes created by us had let us down to bear huge losses in our businesses too.
