Jogulamba Gadwal, July 14: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for power infrastructure works worth ₹376.25 crore in the Alampur Assembly constituency of Jogulamba Gadwal district to strengthen electricity supply for agriculture and domestic consumers.

The Deputy Chief Minister laid the foundation for a 220/132/33 kV substation at Erravalli at a cost of ₹155 crore and a 132/33 kV substation at Rayapuram in Gattu mandal costing ₹48 crore. He also inaugurated newly constructed 33/11 kV substations in Julakal, Paccharla, Medikonda, Aragidda, Thummalacheruvu, Kurthiravallacheruvu, Somapuram, Peddapadu and Uligepalli villages across Vaddepalli, Rajoli, Ieeja and Maldakal mandals, besides distributing transformers to farmers.

Addressing the gathering, Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress government is committed to providing uninterrupted and quality power supply to farmers, households and industries by strengthening the state’s electricity infrastructure. He later interacted with local residents to hear their grievances and suggestions.

Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, MP Mallu Ravi, local MLAs, public representatives and senior officials of the Electricity Department were present on the occasion.
