Muslim Marriages Hit With Late Night Blues To Say So
We’re again back to the 1990s, when Muslim marriages were so embarrassing to take you there to return home at late nights. However, from 2001 to 2005, it was a bit of a relief when the groom arrived on time. Slowly, the time spent at any Muslim marriage gets washed away by late-night blues. We are in 2026, and for the past 4-5 years, Muslim marriages have not been maintaining a proper schedule; not even a single marriage has ended early, so that visitors can return home soon.
The average return time after attending Muslim marriages has been increased to 12:30 a.m. from 10:30 p.m. Obviously, the groom and the bride arrive late, and some people take advantage of the timings, as they have multiple marriage functions to attend on the same night.
The Kaazi or the Nikah organiser would have to wait a long time. He would also go to a Nikah ceremony. He would come back to organise the much-delayed Nikah ceremony; in the meantime, he would do a few other Nikah ceremonies. People, or visitors, have enough time to mock delayed marriages, and they spend their time doing so.
Muslim Marriages on another level
Although Nikah and Valima functions need to be simple according to Islam, Muslims spend a huge amount of money, right from decoration to dinner, and so on. For a seemingly modern experience of the shine and glow, they book grand function halls.
Some of them attract visitors with an orchestra and music. Many would object to this, but the fireworks also join the grand functions of Muslim marriages. Some added baffling stuff, but marriage is all about uniting a couple. Uniting people of opposite genders to live together happily, as companionship in marriage, matters a lot according to Islam. People enjoy these occasions of Nikahs and Valimas. They dance and commit serious mistakes, but the Nikahs and Valimas have no value for such a nuisance.
Such a huge amount of money spent would be of no value if the bride and groom did not live peacefully together. The outrage speaks volumes when there is free mixing in between. They gaze, and they do not lower their gaze, as they should do if any grown-up female comes in their way. This shows where Muslims in India are going. No proper answer to what they’re supposed to do and what they keep doing?
