Hyderabad, June 8, 2026: A volunteer was seen administering the live fish prasadam to an old lady on wheel chair at an Annual fish prasadam distribution. This event is held on the occasion of Mrigasira Karthi at exhibition grounds(Numaish) at Nampally in Hyderabad on Monday evening . The fish prasadam includes a herbal paste (herbal-medicine) that is given along with a live fish.
The herbal paste will be filled inside a live fish and that needs to be wholly swallowed by the patients. Any person whether healthy or a patient of asthma would benefit from swallowing the live fish. Everything, right since this annual event took place in the evening hours, monitored by the police and officials for safety reasons. Safety is preferred because huge crowd waiting to take in the live fish. A procedure, which is almost more than decade old. It has become a tradition, and people say, they benefit a lot, health-wise and they cooperate by waiting for a long time.
