Hyderabad, July 15: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) on Wednesday launched its “Visit Urdu University” outreach programme for students of religious seminaries (Madrasas) to create awareness about higher education opportunities available at the university.

Addressing the inaugural session, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan said MANUU offers affordable traditional, professional and technical courses, and announced special measures to encourage more local students, including reserving an additional 10 per cent of seats for local admissions and providing subsidised bus passes for day scholars. Students from Darul Uloom Rahmania, Al-Mahad Al-Aali Al-Arabi and Aisha Niswan seminaries participated in the programme.

Speakers highlighted that Madrasa students can pursue professional courses by qualifying in Classes 10 and 12 through the Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), making them eligible for admission into various technical and professional programmes offered by Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU).
