Hyderabad, July 13: A meeting with Telangana Members of Parliament was held at Praja Bhavan on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Advisor Jitender Reddy, and Members of Parliament Mallu Ravi, Anil Kumar Yadav, Raghuveer Reddy, Kadiyam Kavya, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Raghu Ram Reddy, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and Etala Rajender, among others.

Addressing the MPs, the Chief Minister called for greater cooperation between the Centre and the State to accelerate Telangana’s development. He said the state’s progress can be achieved only through mutual cooperation between the Central and State governments and urged all MPs to work beyond political differences for Telangana’s growth.

Revanth Reddy appealed to BJP MPs to take the initiative in securing an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for Hyderabad. He also stressed the need for Central Government support for the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail and requested that the loan approval process for the project be completed at the earliest.

The Chief Minister said land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) has reached an advanced stage and urged the Centre to provide the necessary funds for completing the project. He also sought Central approval for the Urban Challenge Fund to support the Musi River rejuvenation project.

On irrigation, Revanth Reddy said he had discussed water-related issues with Union Minister C.R. Patil during the inauguration of the Tungabhadra gates. He pointed out that projects sanctioned during the undivided Andhra Pradesh require No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from Andhra Pradesh, including 30 TMC for the Dindi project and 90 TMC for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.

He said the NOC issue is currently under discussion and requested the Centre to facilitate an early resolution. According to the Chief Minister, Central approval for the 120 TMC allocation would help expedite the completion of these irrigation projects.

Revanth Reddy also said that the proposed interlinking of the Godavari and Cauvery rivers would benefit Telangana. He added that the State Government has no hesitation in acknowledging the Centre’s support whenever it is extended.

The Chief Minister further urged the Central Government to expedite approvals for the Tummidihatti project, port connectivity, the bullet train project, and the proposed airports at Adilabad and Warangal.
