ASADUDDIN OWAISI ADDRESSES MEDIA AFTER MEETING WITH ULAMAS, NGO REPRESENTATIVES ON SIR AWARENESS.

HYDERABAD, June 11: AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi addressed a media conference on Thursday following a meeting with various Ulamas, representatives of NGOs and community leaders at City Convention Hall, Nampally, Hyderabad.

The meeting was organized as part of an awareness campaign on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and to assist the general public in understanding the process and safeguarding their voting rights.

The meeting was organised as part of an awareness campaign about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and to help the general public understand the process and safeguard their voting rights.

Speaking to the media, Owaisi emphasised the importance of voter awareness and urged citizens to verify their electoral details and ensure that their names remain on the voter lists. He said the initiative aims to educate people about the SIR process and provide necessary guidance to those facing difficulties related to voter registration and verification.

Representatives of religious organisations, social welfare groups and NGOs participated in the meeting and discussed ways to raise public awareness, particularly among minority and underprivileged communities.

Owaisi called upon community leaders, volunteers and civil society organisations to actively support the awareness drive and help eligible citizens complete the required formalities. He reiterated that every eligible citizen has the constitutional right to vote and stressed the need for collective efforts to protect that right.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to run awareness programmes and outreach across localities to encourage broad public participation in the electoral revision process.
