Koheda Public Meeting: Key Highlights of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Address
Koheda, Telangana: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed a public gathering at Koheda and outlined the government’s vision for agricultural development, infrastructure expansion, and urban planning, while also responding to political criticism.
The Chief Minister highlighted the long-standing contribution of farmers in Rangareddy district to supplying fruits, vegetables, and milk to Hyderabad. He noted that rapid real estate expansion had impacted agricultural activity in the region and stressed the need to revive farming around the city.

He stated that Hyderabad, with a population of over 1.3 crore, has evolved into an international city, creating increasing demand for food supply systems. He said the government is working to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential commodities to urban residents.
Referring to earlier temporary market structures, he said the state government is now establishing a modern, international-standard fruit market on 240 acres to ensure safe and efficient trading conditions for farmers and traders. He added that the facility is expected to enhance Hyderabad’s global recognition, after the international airport.

The Chief Minister noted that Telangana still depends on neighbouring states for several vegetables and emphasized the need to diversify local agricultural production, including increased cultivation of fruits and vegetables. He also announced plans for value-addition industries, including a tomato processing unit in the Kandukur region.

On industrial development, he said the proposed Bharat Future City would be developed as a global investment hub, expected to attract leading international companies. He added that infrastructure projects such as the Regional Ring Road and proposed airports in Warangal and Adilabad are part of the state’s long-term development plan.

The Chief Minister also referred to the restructuring of sub-registrar offices within the Outer Ring Road area into integrated service complexes to improve citizen services, noting the significant revenue generated through registrations.

He reiterated the government’s welfare commitments, including rice distribution to millions of beneficiaries, free electricity up to 200 units, housing schemes under Indiramma Housing, farm loan waivers, women self-help group loans, and free bus travel for women. He also stated that job recruitment will be accelerated in the coming period.
Criticizing the previous administration, he alleged financial mismanagement and delays in development projects, while asserting that the current government is working to correct past inefficiencies and implement large-scale reforms.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the government is pursuing both welfare and development with a long-term vision from 2024 to 2034, emphasising continued efforts to strengthen Telangana’s economy and infrastructure.
