Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in the Mahila Varotsavalu–2026 programme held at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Tuesday and inaugurated key women empowerment initiatives of the state government.

During the event, the Chief Minister flagged off Self-Help Group (SHG) women-owned buses and distributed financial assistance and cheques to beneficiaries under various welfare schemes aimed at strengthening women’s economic independence.

The programme was attended by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, along with other senior officials and public representatives.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering women through self-employment opportunities, financial inclusion, and expansion of SHG-led enterprises. He said initiatives such as women-owned transport services reflect the government’s focus on transforming SHGs into sustainable economic units.

Ministers present highlighted various welfare and development programmes being implemented for women and rural communities across Telangana.

The event witnessed participation from a large number of SHG women members and beneficiaries who received support under the government’s empowerment schemes.
