Over 500 Schools Participated Across Telangana for Fire Safety Awareness Program held in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, July 14: More than 500 school management representatives from across Telangana participated in a Statewide Fire Safety Awareness Programme. The event was organised by the Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency & Civil Defence Department. It was in association with Basic Elements, and it was held at Ravindra Bharathi on Tuesday.
The programme was inaugurated by Vikram Singh Mann, IPS, Director General, Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency & Civil Defence Department. Vikram Singh Mann stressed that fire safety is a shared responsibility. He has urged all educational institutions to strengthen emergency preparedness. Conduct regular safety audits and create safer learning environments for students.
During the programme, Basic Elements launched FIoT, an IoT-based smart fire detection and monitoring solution for schools. Interestingly it was demonstrated through innovative emergency response systems aimed at improving early fire detection and disaster preparedness. The initiative focused on fire risk assessment, evacuation planning, regulatory compliance and enhancing safety standards in educational institutions across the state.
