Wanaparthy, July 15: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said the State Government is committed to making Telangana a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and increasing the State’s contribution to the national GDP from 5 per cent to 10 per cent under the Telangana Rising 2047 vision. The State’s economic growth would create thousands of jobs.

Addressing a programme at the Amara Raja facility in Divitipally, the Chief Minister praised the company for its contribution to the electric vehicle (EV) sector and employment generation, noting that around 700 people, including 400 women, are employed at the unit. He said the government is continuing and strengthening the best industrial policies of previous governments while introducing new policies for industry, tourism and healthcare to promote investment.

Highlighting the importance of sustainable development, Revanth Reddy said EVs are essential to reducing pollution and tackling climate change. He also stressed the need for world-class infrastructure and transparent governance to attract industries to Telangana. The economic growth of Telangana State would be carried forward from here to 2034 and beyond.

Referring to the development of the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, the Chief Minister said the government is expanding educational institutions, skill development centres, and irrigation projects, while holding discussions with neighbouring states to secure 90 TMC of water for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and 30 TMC for the Dindi Project.

Later, at Kothakota in Wanaparthy district, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new Government Girls High School building, inspected the classrooms and interacted with students. Ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Jupally Krishna Rao, Vakiti and other public representatives attended the economic growth programme.
