Hyderabad, August 3: Rangareddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy directed officials to resolve public grievances without unnecessary delay. He issued the instructions during the Prajavani public hearing held on Monday. The public hearing took place at the conference hall of the Integrated District Offices Complex. People from different parts of the district attended the event.

Citizens submitted petitions explaining their grievances before the District Collector. Officials from various departments also attended the hearing event to receive the applications. A total of 102 complaints were received during the Prajavani programme event. The Collector reviewed the petitions submitted by the public.

The Collector said effective grievance redressal strengthens trust between the public and the administration

Among the total complaints, 33 applications were related to the Revenue Department. The remaining 69 petitions belonged to various other government departments. Collector C. Narayana Reddy instructed the concerned officials to examine every petition with the highest priority. He said each complaint deserved careful attention from the respective department.

Timely action improves public confidence

He directed officials to begin the verification process without unnecessary delay. He stressed that timely action would improve public confidence in the administration. The Collector instructed officials not to keep petitions pending for long periods. He said unresolved complaints should be reviewed regularly until they are settled.

He emphasised that every petition should be disposed of within the prescribed time limit. According to him, delays create inconvenience for people seeking government assistance. The Collector asked officials to discharge their responsibilities with commitment and sincerity. Further, he said resolving public grievances remains an important duty of every department.

And he also advised officers to give special attention to people’s problems. He stressed that prompt solutions should remain the priority of every official. The Collector said effective grievance redressal strengthens trust between the public and the administration. He encouraged officials to work in coordination while addressing complaints. The Prajavani programme provides citizens with an opportunity to present their grievances directly to district authorities. Such hearings help departments understand local issues and respond appropriately.

District Additional Collectors Chandra Reddy and Kiranmayi attended the programme. District Revenue Officer Sharada also participated in the public hearing.

Officials from different departments received the petitions for further examination and necessary action. The applications will now be processed according to departmental procedures.
