How Small Hospitals Operate Using Patients on a Merit-Based Treatment

Small Hospitals, Hospitals, Patients, Attendants

The ‘merit-based treatment’ by small hospitals in Hyderabad carries some techniques to make more. Hospitals in Hyderabad, or anywhere in India, make more out of whatever diseases or injuries patients suffer from. Patients often visit their nearby small hospitals, and those who can afford more visit the most popular hospitals. The idea of making more to treat patients has long been linked to other services. Other services include diagnostic hubs and their own lab testing facilities.

Firstly, the doctors prescribe some tests, claiming that everything should be clean and clear, as they rush to a merit-based logic. This logic would be taken seriously, and patients would go for lab tests, benefiting hospitals with extra income through diagnostic hubs or their own lab facilities. The attendants do not want their patients to suffer in the future, so they perform all the tests prescribed by the doctors.

Here, the expenses keep piling up. Right from the consultation fee to the tests performed, and then it goes as far as the prescribed medicines. The small hospitals are so clever that their doctors prescribe only the medicines that are normally available in their own pharmacies. Adding more to the expenses, the attendants of the patients would be told that their sick patient needs a bed for medicinal liquids to be given through their veins.

No End. Small Hospitals Do More & Big Ones Too

This treatment process won’t end here; patients will be asked to move to a room or a general ward. If asked why? Hospital staff would say about its necessity. The attendants have to manage their own schedules so as not to be held in the hospitals for a day or two. In any case, everyone has to agree on how hospitals, even small ones, operate.

The tests’ expenses. Prescribed medicines. Bed, ward, or room shifting applies to small hospitals as well as the top ones. Also, for some treatments like fractures, the kidney, gallbladder or appendicitis, the hospitals take time to do surgeries. They first shift the patient to a room or general ward, then start their process. The procedure would be the same: to perform all formalities for the hospitals’ labs or linked diagnostic hubs to their own pharmacies. This is how small and big hospitals make more out of vulnerable patients.
