Hyderabad, July 18: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday congratulated Pravallika Narimalla, a student of a Gurukul Degree College under the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS), for winning the gold medal in the women’s 4×400 metres relay at the first Asian Under-23 Athletics Championships 2026 held in Ordos, China. The Telangana Chief Minister lauded Pravallika’s outstanding achievement, describing it as a matter of pride for both Telangana and the nation.

Minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar, along with senior officials, met the Chief Minister at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion and briefed him on the athlete’s success.

Revanth Reddy wished Pravallika continued success in her future competitions and said her accomplishment would inspire young sportspersons across the State.

Telangana Chief Minister on the Prevention of Food Adulteration

Later, the Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy chaired a high-level review meeting on Saturday to prevent food adulteration at the MCRHRD Institute in Hyderabad.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand, Government Advisor Ramakrishna Rao, and other senior officials. The Chief Minister reviewed measures to strengthen enforcement against food adulteration, improve food safety standards, and ensure strict action against those involved in manufacturing and selling adulterated food products.

Officials discussed coordinated efforts among various departments to intensify inspections, enhance monitoring, and safeguard public health across the State.
