Hyderabad, July 18: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress government during the ‘Yuva Sangrama Sadassu’ held at the Saroornagar Stadium in Hyderabad. Addressing a large gathering of party workers and youth supporters, KTR alleged that the Congress had failed to fulfil the promises made in its pre-election ‘Youth Declaration’, particularly those relating to employment opportunities and job creation.

During his speech, KTR claimed that unemployed youth across Telangana had been disappointed by what he described as the government’s inability to implement its commitments after assuming office. He argued that the expectations raised during the election campaign had not translated into concrete action and accused the Congress of betraying the trust of young voters.

KTR Calls Upon the Youth

Referring to the Congress leadership, KTR called upon the youth to politically reject the party, including senior leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, as well as Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. According to the BRS leader, the promises made to unemployed youth had remained largely unfulfilled, and he urged young voters to hold the government accountable.

The BRS Working President also stressed the importance of employment generation, saying that creating jobs and providing opportunities for educated youth should remain among the government’s highest priorities. He maintained that addressing unemployment was essential for the state’s economic growth and the aspirations of the younger generation.

BRS leader: Promises made remained unfulfilled

The ‘Yuva Sangrama Sadassu’ was organised by the BRS as part of its outreach to young people and served as a platform to criticise the Congress government’s performance on issues affecting youth. Party leaders and supporters attended the programme, with speakers highlighting employment, education, and development as key concerns.

The Congress government has consistently maintained that it is committed to implementing its election promises in a phased manner and has defended its governance record on employment and welfare initiatives. Government leaders have previously stated that several recruitment and development measures are being undertaken as part of their broader agenda.

The issue of unemployment and job creation continues to remain a significant political topic in Telangana, with both the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS frequently exchanging criticism over their respective records and policy commitments. As political activity intensifies, employment is expected to remain one of the central issues shaping public debate, particularly among young voters, in the months ahead.
