Revanth Reddy on Wednesday strongly condemned the alleged police action against Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi during a protest in New Delhi over the NEET paper leak issue, accusing the BJP-led Union Government of suppressing democratic rights and resorting to "brutal attacks" on peaceful protesters. Addressing a massive dharna after leading a protest rally from Ambedkar Chowrasta in Kodangal Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister questioned the Centre's handling of the students' agitation and alleged that instead of punishing those responsible for the NEET paper leak, the government had unleashed police action on students and opposition leaders. Revanth Reddy alleged that Rahul Gandhi sustained injuries during the protest and said the Congress leader had "shed blood while standing in support of students." He remarked that the Gandhi family had a long history of making sacrifices for the nation and asserted that the right to peaceful protest was guaranteed under the Constitution framed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Chief Minister alleged that the NEET paper leak had jeopardised the future of lakhs of students and accused the BJP of failing to protect the integrity of competitive examinations. He demanded the dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and called for strict action against those involved in the alleged paper leak. Claiming that several students were injured during the police action, Revanth Reddy questioned the Centre over reports that some protesters were unaccounted for and accused the government of attempting to silence democratic voices instead of addressing students' concerns.

Hyderabad, July 13: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Kishor Makwana, Chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), and outlined the state government's initiatives for the welfare and empowerment of Scheduled Castes. The Chief Minister said the government has taken significant steps to eliminate caste discrimination among students. He stated that Young India Integrated Residential Schools are being constructed on 25 acres in every Assembly constituency, with efforts underway to make them operational from the next academic year. He said the government has also established Telangana Public Schools to provide education from Nursery to Class XII, along with breakfast and lunch on campus and transportation facilities for students. He added that the number of Telangana Public Schools is being increased, particularly in the Core Urban Region. Revanth Reddy said the state is providing Scheduled Castes with opportunities exceeding their proportion in the population and has ensured representation for SCs in key positions in politics and other sectors. He also noted that the government is implementing **SC sub-classification**. Hyderabad, July 13: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Kishor Makwana, Chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), and outlined the state government's initiatives for the welfare and empowerment of Scheduled Castes. The Chief Minister said the government has taken significant steps to eliminate caste discrimination among students. He stated that Young India Integrated Residential Schools are being constructed on 25 acres in every Assembly constituency, with efforts underway to make them operational from the next academic year. He said the government has also established Telangana Public Schools to provide education from Nursery to Class XII, along with breakfast and lunch on campus and transportation facilities for students. He added that the number of Telangana Public Schools is being increased, particularly in the Core Urban Region. Revanth Reddy said the state is providing Scheduled Castes with opportunities exceeding their proportion in the population and has ensured representation for SCs in key positions in politics and other sectors. He also noted that the government is implementing **SC sub-classification**. The Chief Minister urged the NCSC Chairperson to facilitate greater support and assistance from the Central Government for the welfare and development of Scheduled Castes in Telangana.
